Half term was
National
Family Week and to celebrate we again held a Giant Picnic
and Rounders afternoon.
It was a wonderful afternoon, with over 75 people bringing picnics and joining in with the rounders fun.
National
Family Week 2010As well as being the summer half term, Monday
31st May to Sunday 6th June 2010 is also National Family Week. The Week
aims to highlight the important role families play in society and
encourage healthy active lifestyles and quality family time. With
libraries, children centres, community organisations, government bodies,
charities, local authorities, sports clubs, celebrities and even the
Prime Minister behind The Week, the only thing needed is your family!
Families
like yours across the UK can enjoy thousands of events and many tie
into the National Family Week 2010 theme days - Family Week Picnic on
Monday 31st May, Family Week Film Day on Tuesday 1st June, Family Week
Story Time on Wednesday 2nd June, Family Week Road Trip on Thursday 3rd
June and Family Week Sports Day on Saturday 5th June. Plus competitions,
offers and promotions to make sure The Week will be fantastic fun for
everyone. Or why not organise your very own family event and invite all
your family members along?
During National Family Week, Play For
Elham is organising a Giant Picnic on Monday 31st May, 1pm at King
George V Playing Field.
