The Elham Community Sports Centre comprises of facilities within the Elham Village Hall and two all-weather courts within its grounds. The hall is used for badminton and table tennis. Of the two all-weather courts, one is exclusively used for tennis, whilst the other court has the added facility of five-a-side football goals and basketball hoops. Both courts are floodlit and therefore available all year round until 10pm.
The courts are bookable at the Elham Valley Stores where floodlight tokens can also be purchased. The Sports Centre is for the use of paid up members, but guests may use the facility for a small fee. A committee oversees membership, maintains the courts and organises fun tournaments and social functions.
There are club sessions for tennis on Tuesday mornings all year. This is a fun, informal non competitive session ideal for those returning to the game. Also there are club sessions on Tuesday evenings and Saturday afternoons in the summer.
Junior and Senior Coaching sessions are available at the club. Please contact Greg Hill for more information.
There is currently not any organised football, basketball, badminton or table tennis, but the committee would be delighted to hear from anybody interest in running any sessions.
Membership fees for the Sports Centre are extremely reasonable, and we are always looking to welcome new members of all ages. For all enquires please contact any of the committee members listed below who will be happy to help.
